My name is Fabian Gianola, I’m an actor and a TV presenter.
The video was filmed in Lugano 1 and 2, in Fuerte Apache a suburb of Buenos Aires. It’s a humble area where humble people live. The district is easily recognized by society as a whole: it’s a place that is hard to penetrate, the people are poor and levels of delinquency are high. This place is a classic, so it helps the target audience recognize themselves.
We went to do the song and the video clip in the place itself, where everything originates: the problems, the music and so on. The performers in the band playing the song by Pablo Vago are from a “bailantero” group that is also really well known. Pablo Vago, who wrote the song is [Manchester United football player] Carlos Tevez’ brother, and they were both born there in Fuerte Apache. So filming there, using that music group, using the music, was coherent for the campaign.
