The Global Fund Corporate Champions Program is an integrated platform for companies to make a significant financial commitment to the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. These companies recognize that investing through the Global Fund's performance-based grant-making model is an efficient and impactful way to sustain healthy communities around the globe

Global Fund Corporate Champions must have:

• A strong understanding of and commitment to the health of their workforce and the communities within which they operate;
• A global geographic footprint with strategic interests in the countries which are most affected by these diseases; and
• A demonstrated commitment to fight AIDS, TB and malaria

By investing in Global Fund-supported programs that reach communities at large, Corporate Champions are able to expand on their investment in health far beyond the workplace and surrounding communities. Companies are able to channel their contributions into grants based on national strategies and priorities which have an established and universally recognized high level of performance, country ownership and transparency.

Apart from investing in Global Fund-supported programs, companies also leverage their people and assets to improve the effectiveness and reach of Global Fund grants. For example, Corporate Champions may provide support for capacity-development activities benefiting Global Fund partners and grant recipients. Consistent with the Global Fund's overall demand-driven approach, these activities are determined jointly by in-country partners and the company based on mutual needs and priorities.
