Philanjalo Hospice
The Philanjalo Hospice, which is supported by the Global Fund, provides a range of services to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. The organization is in collaboration with community-based organizations, faith-based organizations (Rock Life and Full Gospel), SANCA (South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence), the Department of Health, the Department of Welfare, the private sector (Spar Supermarkets) and also receives contributions from the Netherlands. - an eight-week course for caregivers
- support to over 300 orphans and their caregivers (with a focus on households headed by children or the aged)
- assistance with school fees, food packages (delivered every five weeks), clothing and the provision of ARVs to orphans who need them.
