Phase 2 Grant Renewal
Phase 2 is the extension of the grant that covers the period from Year 3 to the end of the originally approved proposal period.
Phase 2 funding decisions are made according to clear criteria for satisfactory grant performance and contextual considerations, subject to Global Fund resource availability. Applicants (usually Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs)) are invited at the end of Month 18 to submit their proposal for Phase 2 (called the Request for Continued Funding) which is then submitted to the Secretariat in Month 21. The Board makes a decision in the middle of Month 24.
