At the Centro Nacional Universitario de Prevención in Havana, Cuba, students are trained to lead HIV prevention activities as community outreach workers. They visit prisons, produce awareness-raising videos, organize educational theater performances, and distribute condoms in classrooms. Since 2007, the number of young people reached by community-based efforts such as these has exceeded half a million.
