WORLD TB DAY 2008

In five years, the Global Fund has become the largest source of external financing for TB control efforts globally, providing almost 70% of all international funding for TB. As of January 2008 the Global Fund had approved 153 TB grants in 106 countries for a total of US$ 2.2 billion. The results achieved with Global Fund financing of TB programs, are impressive: more than 3.3 million people with TB have been treated under DOTS with Global Fund support.

The Global Fund calls on countries to submit ambitious proposals for funding. Together we can realize our vision of a world free of the burden of TB.
