"Law Misy aody moko"
"Law Misy aody moko" or "Insecticide Treated Net" is an upbeat song, in the local Salegy style, characterized by gently rippling guitars. The lyrics emphasize how sleeping under a mosquito net can bring peace of mind, particularly for pregnant women. It is sung by well known Malagasy singer, Babïque. He is joined on this track by Rivera. The song proved to be a big hit because of the catchy tune and got a lot of airplay on national radio stations. In 2006, PSI found that half of pregnant women who had seen PSI’s films reported they slept under a treated net, compared to one woman in three who had not seen the films. |
