The lives of millions of people around the world have begun to improve. These people living with or threatened by HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, can now benefit from prevention, treatment and care activities that are made possible by local partners with financial support from the Global Fund.

Millions can afford to take life-saving medicines and are protected from malaria-carrying mosquitoes by sleeping under insecticide-treated bednets.
Many more receive free testing and counseling for AIDS, while others are closely followed throughout their treatment for tuberculosis.
Children who have been orphaned by AIDS can go to school and receive daily food rations.
Some others learn new skills to earn their living after having lost their job because of stigma against disease.
Health care systems are being strenghtened with modern equipment and training of health workers.
People living in remote areas are being reached by mobile health clinics.

These are just a few examples of how Global Fund support is boosting the efforts of partners in more than 130 countries.
