Release of the Final Report on the Independent Evaluation of the AMFm

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria released the final report on the Independent Evaluation of the Affordable Medicines Facility - malaria (AMFm) pilot phase.

As host and manager of the AMFm, the Global Fund commissioned an independent evaluation to assess the extent to which the initiative has achieved the main objectives laid out for its pilot phase, which ends in December 2012.

The Independent Evaluation, a thorough assessment of the initiative, was mandated by the Global Fund Board and will inform its discussions in November 2012, when the Board is expected to make a decision on the future of AMFm beyond the pilot phase.
