Established as a partnership in global health, the Global Fund works closely with a wide diversity of partners –implementing governments, donors, civil society, international development organizations, the private sector and communities living with and affected by the diseases. This partnership model actively supports country-owned approaches that develop and implement effective, evidence-based programs to respond to AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.

Tuberculosis and Malaria released the final report on the Independent
Evaluation of the Affordable Medicines Facility - malaria (AMFm) pilot
As host and manager of the AMFm, the Global Fund commissioned an
independent evaluation to assess the extent to which the initiative has
achieved the main objectives laid out for its pilot phase, which ends in
The Independent Evaluation, a thorough assessment of the
initiative, was mandated by the Global Fund Board and will inform its
discussions in November 2012, when the Board is expected to make a decision on
the future of AMFm beyond the pilot phase.
