Grant Life Cycle

Performance-based funding is an integral part of every phase of the life cycle of a Global Fund grant: initial proposal development, grant negotiation and signing; regular progress updates and disbursements; and the renewal of the grant (after two or three years).

This section introduces the phases of the life cycle of a Global Fund grant and for each of them presents the key steps and actors involved and the corresponding outcome of the performance-based funding.
