South and West Asia Team, Workshop for Principal Recipients from India

18 to 20 October 2011 

Workshop Objectives: 

• Update PRs on processes and requirements for Progress Updates and Disbursement Requests and enhanced financial management safeguards (new budget guidelines, enhanced financial reports (EFRs), external audits and grant closures);
• Enhance PRs’ knowledge of the latest requirements and risk management approach towards strengthened monitoring and evaluation and procurement activities;
• Strengthen PRs’ understanding of requirements for sub-recipients (SR) selection and management;
• Improve understanding of the roles of the LFAs, CCMs and Secretariat under the new policy directions in the areas of risk management and fraud prevention; and
• Introduce the Global Fund Reform and brief on the Global Fund’s risk management framework, value for money and enhanced requirements in key functional areas of grant management to increase accountability, efficiency and effectiveness of supported programs.
