Objectives:
- Provide Global Fund updates to East Asia and Pacific country representatives (Principal Recipients and Partner Organizations);
- Facilitate solving existing grant bottlenecks in Financial System Management, Procurement Supply Management and Monitoring & Evaluation areas;
- Foster understanding and management of financial and programmatic risks while ensuring value for money, equitable access and the promotion of rights;
- Share country experiences and good practices in implementing Global Fund - Supported Programs; and
- Optional Day 3, 29 September 2011
- Grant Negotiation Sessions: Finalize grant negotiations for remaining Round 10 grants or Phase 2 grants
- Civil Society Workshop

Objectives: (plenary presentations and panel discussions)
- To provide an overview of the EAP Portfolio and Global Fund Board decisions; and
- To highlight key Global Fund reforms and initiatives designed to strengthen systems, risk management and participation of civil society and affected populations and to discuss good practice in the region.

Objectives: (plenary presentations and panel discussions)
- To conduct in-depth functional workshops providing policy updates discussing new developments and challenges and giving an opportunity to have a hands-on experience with case studies;
- GF functional teams’ key presentation (45 min);- Discussions and / or practical exercises;
- Discuss issues, concerns and suggestions from the field; and
- Rapporteurs from countries summarize the session outcomes.
Note:
- M&E, Finance and PSM morning and afternoon sessions will be the same
- While we are not expecting presentations, the country participants will need to come to each session prepared to engage regarding the country particular situation

A. For Grant Implementers to finalise outstanding grant negotiation issues
Objective:
1)To use the opportunity of the regional meeting to finalize any issues in relation to grant signings (i.e. Round 10, Phase 2 or others)
Note: The Afternoon Session is applicable to Pre-Registered Participants.
Early advice is needed so that time can be allocated to discuss particular grant negotiation issues with any of the Global Fund specialist teams.
