Established as a partnership in global health, the Global Fund works closely with a wide diversity of partners –implementing governments, donors, civil society, international development organizations, the private sector and communities living with and affected by the diseases. This partnership model actively supports country-owned approaches that develop and implement effective, evidence-based programs to respond to AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
Picture this: A world where virtually no child is born with HIV, or where no death is caused by a mosquito bite. As unrealistic as that sounds, the reality is that we are much closer to achieving this dream than anyone realizes. But, like every amazing advance made by humankind, this goal needs a Big Push. Well, we need a Big Push to change the course of history for global health.
Initiated by The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, in partnership with The Huffington Post, The Big Push is a campaign to rally support to achieve global health goals that are now within reach. A collection of portraits embodies the hope and ambitions of people from around the globe who have joined us for The Big Push.
Let’s show the world that the time has come to change the course of history for global health. We have made tremendous advances in the past 10 years -- we can’t stop now. We need a Big Push.
