• Clarifications Process

The TRP review process leads to a number of proposals being recommended for funding on the condition that adjustments be made and that clarifications be provided within a limited timeframe.

Following the Board's funding decision, the Secretariat notifies applicants of the outcome of their application. All applicants receive a TRP Review Form that details the TRP's comments regarding the proposal; for successful applicants, this includes clarifications and/or adjustments to be made.

Primary and secondary reviewers of the TRP study the applicants' clarifications and request further clarifications from the applicant, or send to the TRP Chair/Vice-Chair for final sign-off. The Secretariat facilitates the process between the TRP and the applicant, and so clarifications are submitted to the Secretariat and not to the TRP directly.

All applicants have a deadline by which the clarifications request must be adequately addressed, which will depend on the TRP category of the proposal. The Board's approval to fund a proposal is conditional on the completion of this process to the satisfaction of the TRP by the deadline assigned.
