Condom Man Helps Prevent the Spread of HIV in Bhutan

Everybody in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, knows Tshewang Nidup, a.k.a. “Condom Man”. Driving around in his distinctive-looking minivan, he seeks out truck drivers and bar clients to give out free condoms and to tell them about safe behavior to avoid HIV infection. Tshewang’s work is part of a nation-wide prevention effort targeting groups who are more vulnerable to the disease, supported by the Global Fund and its partners.
