Progress in Viet Nam in the Fight against TB

Scenes at Pham Ngoc Thach hospital in Hanoi, Viet Nam, which offers treatment for tuberculosis at no cost to patients. With support from the Global Fund and its partners, the country succeeded in reaching the 2015 targets of reducing TB incidence, prevalence and mortality by 50% compared to 1990 levels. But although much progress is made, every year 17,000 women, children and men still die of the disease.
