Armenia has a low HIV prevalence overall. In recent years the country has seen a decline in the proportion of key populations affected by HIV cases. Infections among migrant workers to the Russian Federation and other countries are on the rise, however. This is contributing to a steady increase in the overall number of HIV cases each year.

Part of Armenia’s strategy is to ensure universal access to early and quality diagnosis of all forms of TB and to strengthen involvement of communities and advocacy groups.
