Uzbekistan has made progress in reaching key and vulnerable populations, including people who inject drugs, sex workers, and men who have sex with men. The country is also on track receive malaria-free certification in the near future.
Tuberculosis – particularly the drug-resistant form – continues to be a public health threat in the country. Global Fund grants to the country support the consolidation and expansion of treatment and management of drug-resistant TB with a focus on people living with HIV, migrants, and prisoners.
