The Global Fund is developing a real-time monitoring approach to identify secondary impacts of the COVID-19 response in the delivery of Global Fund-supported programs. This will support the Global Fund with its “business contingency planning” and provide an early warning system so the Global Fund can assess what actions to take when activities are going off track. Local Fund Agents, who will undertake this monitoring, may be in contact with Principal Recipients, Country Coordinating Mechanisms or other country partners over the coming weeks to understand potential or current disruptions.
This information will be collected through a survey. The first survey will be completed by Local Fund Agents on 5 May, with subsequent updates on the 1st and 15th of each month. Collecting this information will allow the Global Fund to consider remedial actions to put in place. If you have any questions regarding the survey or the Global Fund response to COVID-19, country partners can reach out to their Country Team.
