The newly formed Global Fund Youth Council brings the unique reality of adolescents and young people, in all their diversity, to the attention of the Executive Director of the Global Fund. Announced at the November 2019 Global Fund Board meeting, the Youth Council will provide insight into the needs and challenges youth face in relation to HIV, tuberculosis and malaria and, more broadly, to other aspects of their health and well-being. The council advises the executive director, who facilitates the council.
The Global Fund has published biographies of the first members of the Youth Council:

The Youth Council held its first meeting virtually in April 2020.
