The introduction of the malaria vaccine is a welcome addition to the malaria toolbox of vector control, chemoprevention, case management, surveillance and program management that the Global Fund supports. To build on global progress in malaria programs, the Global Fund has just published joint guidance with Gavi on Global Fund support for complementary interventions for the malaria vaccine, and joint support with Gavi.
