# Operations

Well-functioning Country Coordinating Mechanism operations provide the foundation on which core responsibilities are executed. These include oversight of Global Fund health investments; engagement of multisector stakeholders, including civil society, communities and key populations; and positioning of health governance within national structures.

In addition to requirements reflected in the Country Coordinating Mechanism Policy of an inclusive process in submitting a funding request to the Global Fund and transparent nomination of Principal Recipients, key entry points for operations include:
