Renewal of Executive Director Appointment
The Board decides to renew the appointment and extend the term of Peter Sands, as the Executive Director of the Global Fund, for an additional four years. In accordance with Article 36.1 of the Operating Procedures of the Board and Committees, the Board has taken such decision with due consideration of performance over his first term, and following discussion of key priorities for the extended term.
The Board extends its appreciation and recognition to Mr. Sands for his service during his first term, and expresses support and encouragement to take forward this mandate to implement the organization’s strategic vision in pursuit of the mission.
