Decision on the Secretariat’s Funding Recommendation for an Interim Applicant

The Board:

Approves additional funding for the next implementation period for the grant listed in Table 2, based on the understanding that the amount approved is upper ceilings rather than final funding amount for that period and that on-going implementation arrangements for the grant shall be pursued by the Secretariat consistent with the principles of the recommendations set forth in the related documentation submitted to the Board and in accordance with Global Fund policies. Approval is also subject to the availability of the additional funding requested and to the provision that such additional funding if available shall be committed in annual tranches (GF/B25/DP16, paragraph 7 of Annex 1).
Reaffirms that the maximum funding amount available for the next implementation period of the proposed grant shall be the sum of the amount set out in Table 2 below for the listed grant and the amount of any funds approved for the prior implementation period which have not been utilized during that period, either as undisbursed funds or cash balances held by recipients under the grant.
