With a cumulative contribution of €300,000, Malta is the 67th largest donor to the Global Fund.

Malta first became a donor to the Global Fund in 2019 when it pledged €300,000 to the Sixth Replenishment (2020-2022).

At the Seventh Replenishment Pledging Conference in New York, September 2022, Malta’s Prime Minister Robert Abela personally announced his country’s pledge of € 150,000 for the period 2023-2025:

“Greatly reducing, if not eradicating these diseases by 2030 should be a global health goal of the highest order, and it is a goal that my country is proud to contribute to.”
