New York – Prof. Michel Kazatchkine, the Executive Director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and malaria, is addressing today the UN Secretary-General Forum on Advancing Global Health in the Face of Crisis.
The UN Secretary-General convenes this forum in order to boost health services for the world’s most vulnerable, by urging partnerships, coordination among governments, UN agencies, private sector, civil society, philanthropic community and academia to maximize results and counter impact of crises.
Participants will also hear speeches from UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Director-General of WHO Dr. Margaret Chan, as well as executive directors and senior representatives of UNICEF, UNFPA, UNAIDS, GAVI and other ministries of health and related organizations.
