Nienke Mulder Joins the Global Fund as Head of Human Resources

GENEVA – The Global Fund is pleased to announce that Nienke Mulder will join the Global Fund in the role of Chief Human Resources Officer. Nienke has extensive experience and brings more than two decades of leadership and expertise in human resources, change management and diversity and inclusion.

Nienke has been based at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in Switzerland for the past five years, where she was a Global Change Director, Global Inclusion & Diversity Strategy Lead and the HR Director for Switzerland.

Prior to GSK, she worked as an independent Strategic Transformation Lead and executive coach for several profit and not-for-profit organizations and leaders.  

Nienke also spent 13 years at Unilever in different HR roles, working in Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, South Africa and the Netherlands.

She has a passion for volunteering and contributing to society and has participated in programs to raise funds, build capability, mentor and develop business cases for NGOs and other public-private partnership initiatives. In addition, she regularly delivers guest lectures at universities.

Nienke is a people person and thrives when leading organizations and teams through personal and organizational growth. She is passionate about global health and is very excited to join the Global Fund and leverage the power of its people to successfully deliver its new Strategy.

She is originally from the Netherlands and holds degrees and certificates in human resource studies, business ethics, change management, team facilitation and executive coaching.

Nienke will join the Global Fund on 1 March 2022.
