Data Science Catalytic Fund - Improving Collection and Use of Community Health Data

28 March 2022

The Global Fund, in collaboration with The Rockefeller Foundation, is supporting efforts to strengthen national health information and surveillance systems through the Data Science Catalytic Fund (DSCF) in Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia and Burkina Faso.

With the support of a US$15 million grant from The Rockefeller Foundation, and an additional US$10 million committed by the Global Fund, work done by the DSCF will include refining and deploying digital tools for tracking, informing and supporting community-level health services. The DSCF also aims to improve the compatibility of health data systems and equip health workers with digital tools.

The DSCF works with partners to develop long-term solutions that combine technology, expertise, technical assistance and capacity building to break down barriers and improve community health information systems.
