Digital Solutions Strengthen Defense Against Infectious Disease in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Robust disease surveillance is vital to protecting people against infectious disease around the world. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where disease outbreaks can be more frequent and harder to track, the Global Fund is working with the Ministry of Health and other partners to digitize the national disease reporting and early alert systems. This system has been vital in monitoring and containing the most recent mpox outbreak. Investing the world’s first line of defense against infectious disease helps lead to a safer, more stable world.
