The Global Fund published new and updated resources for the grant-making phase of the funding cycle – when a country’s funding request to the Global Fund is turned into one or more grants.
Grant-making during the 2020-2022 cycle looks at lessons learned from past cycles for Country Coordinating Mechanisms, Principal Recipients, Local Fund Agents and the Global Fund Secretariat to work together to develop high-quality grants. Particular focus is put on what can be done before grants are signed to enable swift implementation.
For resources and best practices, see our Grant-Making page.
For information on how countries can use existing grants to strengthen their response to the new coronavirus, COVID-19, see Global Fund Issues New Guidance in Response to COVID-19.
