Refreshed Essential Data for 2020-2022 Funding Cycle

01 December 2020

To support countries in preparing funding requests for the 2020-2022 period, the Global Fund has updated the Essential Data Tables. These now contain the most recent figures on HIV, tuberculosis, malaria and resilient and sustainable systems for health for every Global Fund-supported country.

These tables are intended to:

  • Lower the amount of work involved in development of the funding request by compiling data for analysis in one place
  • Assist countries in the analysis of their epidemiological context
  • Encourage cross-cutting collaboration between disease programs and the broader health system

The tables are available for download on the Funding Request Applications page. Country Teams will include the tables in the funding request packages sent directly to Country Coordinating Mechanisms.

The data are also available through the Global Fund Data Service. Find “National Health and Development Indicators” on the “Data Set” tab in the “Downloads” section. The data can be exported in Excel and CSV formats and will be periodically updated.
