Regional PSEAH Ethics Capacity Strengthening Event

17 November 2023

The Global Fund is taking significant efforts to support capacity strengthening in protection from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (PSEAH), and ethics matters generally, with efforts that involve staff, recipients, CCMs, suppliers and other stakeholders across the partnership. To mitigate the risk of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH prevention) and to respond safely and effectively to allegations of SEAH when it occurs (SEAH response), implementers need to build capacity in both SEAH prevention and response readiness. In ethics matters generally, the same principles apply: prevention and response know-how is required in order to handle sensitive matters with integrity.

To jump-start PSEAH and ethics capacity strengthening efforts at the implementer level, the Global Fund is organizing a series of regional workshops for PSEAH focal points and CCM ethics officers. A team of specialists from the PSEAH Coordination Unit, Ethics Office and Office of the Inspector General will present at our first such event: a three-day capacity-building workshop on 5-7 December 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya, for PR and SR PSEAH focal points and CCM ethics officers from anglophone African countries. This three-day event will be held at the Emara Ole-Sereni Hotel.
