Bill Gates Speaks on the Impact of the Global Fund
Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, calls the Global Fund the "fastest scaling, most effective health institution that's been created." Speaking at the Global Fund’s Sixth Replenishment Conference, Gates presented example after example of the effectiveness of the fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
On 10 October 2019, donors at the conference in Lyon, France pledged US$14 billion to Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for the next three years.
