A key Global Fund priority is to find as many “missing” people with tuberculosis (TB) – people who go undetected, untreated, or unreported – as possible. Activities focused around detecting more TB cases are critical. The Global Fund and Google Cloud partnered in 2019 to leverage Google Cloud’s expertise in artificial intelligence, data analytics and visualization to help identify missing people with TB in India, a country which has the highest TB burden worldwide. Today, Google Cloud is working with the Global Fund to help strengthen the capacity of countries to transition to digital health by sharing knowledge and expertise around advanced technologies like Cloud Computing, Data Analytics and AI.
