As applicants of C19RM Funding Requests continue to work on their proposals, the Global Fund has issued a tool which applicants are strongly encouraged to use in developing their oxygen submissions, including for Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) plants and liquid oxygen.
Costing of PSA plants in particular is a complex process and varies across applicant countries and multicountries. Therefore, determining the “fit-for-purpose” and value of related investments can pose some challenges. The tool, supported by members of the COVID-19 Technical Advisory Group (CTAG), allows applicants to highlight operational and technical specifications so that a complete package is considered when requesting this type of investments, strengthening the request and ensuring they reflect sustainable and durable health system investments in years to come.
