The Open Consultation on Strategy Development served as an avenue for critical input into the Strategy development process. From May 2020 until 1 January 2021, stakeholders were encouraged to contribute to the Open Consultation, either through an online form or by email.
Stakeholders were invited to identify the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the fight against the three diseases, building resilient and sustainable systems for health (RSSH), promoting and protecting human rights and gender, and mobilizing resources. Stakeholders were also invited to reflect on how these aims are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and broader changes in the health and development landscape.
The Open Consultation received over 325 submissions representing more than 5,500 individuals from across the Global Fund partnership. Refer to the final synthesis of the Open Consultation [ download in English | Français ] for more detail.
The input received through the Open Consultation informed Global Fund Strategy Committee and Board discussions and the development of the Strategy Framework and Narrative, and fed substantially into the background materials for discussion at the 6th Partnership Forums.
